Water Leak Repair Chula Vista, California
We received an emergency call for a water leak. Unfortunately the water leak started when the homeowner was not home, so when he called us several hours had passed before the water was shut off. When we showed up there was water absolutely everywhere. The leak started in the upstairs laundry room and completely soaked everything upstairs as well as downstairs. The source of the leak was a ruptured flexible supply line to the laundry room utility sink. The pressure in the house was an astonishing 140 psi! This was enough to rupture a braided steel flex line. We replaced the flex line as well as install a new Pressure Reducing Valve to bring down the pressure to 60 psi. A normal working water pressure for a house is between 60-80 psi so 140 psi is extremely high. After our repairs we referred our customer to a local restoration company that worked with his insurance to have the damages covered.
